ZIKA Virus in SE Brazil; STOP PRESS!

by Richard Raby on March 1, 2016

Ok by now everyone has heard about the Zika virus and Microcephalia? This virus is transmitted by an URBAN Mosquito, It very rarely gets into the forests and it definitely prefers degraded areas and especially metropolises & human habitation !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally believe that risks of infection of anything transmitted by this mosquito are close to ZERO to anyone visiting the countryside of Brazil.

I’ve never had a client go down with Malaria, Denge or Zika on any one of my trips. The one time (in the 25 yrs I’ve been out here in Brazil) that I got Denge fever (transmited by the same mosqito) it was caught in Rio de Janeiro city.
