Cambrige, England June 2007

Hello, This is my first Blogg entry after hand-over from my webmaster, my best friends dynamic son in Brazil, Marlus. Thank you Marlus for a great newwebsite that is getting very positive reviews from all that visit!

This is the time of year when I work hard to fund my next seasons Birding and Lodge building program in Brazil. I’m in Cambridge where I’ve recently started driving a Hackney Taxi over the British summer months . It’s a time of year when I concentrate on my Tour advertising, update my field sound-archives, for next season, write-up a trip report or two and also try and meet and get to know a few of my future visitors either over a meal in Cambridge or possibly at the Rutland Birdfair (where I will be present and helping-out on the Neotropical Bird Club stand again, for the whole three days).

Away from my birding patch in Marica, I also tend to diverse into another hobby which is collecting antique binoculars (the older and more Heath-Robinson in design, the better!). This year I have been very lucky in finding a 1912 Earnst LEITZ prismatic pair.

I will shortly be posting a new Trip report from March this year that tells of the fortunes had on my last group tour of Minas Gerais and Rio/Ubatuba in my recently aquired Pajero 4×4.Enough to say that we digiscoped Brazilian Merganser and also photographed a TAPIR !!!All for now and enjoy the new site and my collection of illustative photos

Welcome to All Richard Raby
